Nicole and Britney came to stay with us through the holiday. We picked them up in Hays on December 23, Nicole's 16th birthday. Loucinda and Clay had picked them up at the normal exit 219. We ate dinner at Whiskey Creek. YUM!
We went to Christmas Eve Service at our church at 5:00 Monday evening. It was wonderful. Our family did the advent reading and lit the candles. We went home and had supper (Hamburger Tator Tot Casserole). Everyone got tucked in.
Christmas Morning we all got up and opened presents in our pajamas. It was a fun morning. The Smith family got a DVD player from Santa! We are now in the 2000's! It flurried all day, but very little accumulation.
Loucinda arrived on Thursday to spend some time with us and Grandma. Took the girls to get their eyebrows waxed. We had lasagne for dinner. We played Apples to Apples...a fun game! It snowed practically all day. We probably got about 4 inches.
It has been a wonderful break! The girls are so awesome!!!
